West Nipissing Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will not be releasing the name of the deceased discovered along Front Street this morning until next of kin have been notified.
The Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-OFPS) were brought in to aid with the investigation, after an individual was found unresponsive in a vehicle.
Police have reopened the area to the public.

The West Nipissing OPP are investigating after an individual was found dead along Front Street this morning.
OPP and Nipissing Paramedic Services responded to a call of an unresponsive person inside a vehicle along Hwy 17 around 9:15 a.m. this morning. The person inside the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are asking that the public avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing and note there are no safety concerns for the public.
